The Ship Inn

Lovely place to stay. We stayed in a family room. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was massive! The staff were friendly, polite and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious; we had the full Scottish cooked breakfast and it was really tasty. Gatehouse of Fleet is a beautiful place to stay - we had a couple of strolls whilst we were there and enjoyed the views, the swan pond and the friendliness of the people we encountered. We would definitely stay again.

Incredibly friendly staff and excellent food! Our room was a twin on the top floor. Despite the storm raging on outside, we had a relaxing sleep in our comfortable beds. Much better than our previous nights' stay at Cally Palace!

Having done no research of the town, hotel or the restaurant we were thrilled on arrival with our room, the service and especially the food. A really nice stay with a modern room, a very good shower and a friendly vibe. We arrived a little later than expected so we were late for booking a table which we were initially told they could not accommodate due to an event happening in the town, however they managed to squeeze us in later on in the evening and they did not disappoint. Initially we were sat at a table by a busy bar, one waitress came over and saw we were a bit crowded and offered us a table with a little bit more space without us having to ask. Once again, great stay and service and would recommend.
