LOCATION. LOCATION. LOCATION. This hotel is centered in Mid-town just below Central Park/ The Plaza. You are near 5th Ave shopping, blocks from Times Square/ Theatre District/ Central Park. There a multiple eateries close by. Pubs, quick stops, delis. The staff at the hotel is beyond pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend checking out their convenience store in the lobby, the owner is a pleasure. The Room: IT'S QUIET!! I could not believe how little noise we heard. The room is cozy with a large bathroom. The TV plays regular cable. The room is run down, the carpet is clearly old and could use replacing. The bed is comfortable. The air conditioner is quite loud so if you have that running a lot know it will be noisy. Overall an excellent experience for the price we paid.

We got what we paid for. Great location—perfect for what we needed for one night. The room was tight, having just enough room to walk around the Queen sized bed on either side. The bed itself wasn’t terrible, wouldn’t want to sleep on it more than a couple nights max. BIGGEST ISSUE: the A/C(thermostat) was disconnected in our room—see photo. I told the front desk and he said he would tell the “engineer.” Knowing this was likely not going to be resolved at 9pm, I asked for a fan and the presumed engineer brought it up—they didn’t look at the thermostat. Shocker. Would’ve been a rough night without a fan. It had a small bathroom that did the job. I didn’t expect a view, and we didn’t get one. Better than it could’ve been for sure. Overall wouldn’t recommend this place, but if all you need is a cheap bed and no air conditioning, it’s not bad.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights last month and was quite disappointed. The curtain in my room was basically transparent, offering no privacy. I had to change clothes in the bathroom. When I asked a staff member whether all rooms were like this, they said yes, so I didn’t request to change rooms. But later, I saw photos in other guests’ reviews clearly showing proper curtains in their rooms. I have no idea why my room didn’t have any. There was also a strong musty smell, as if the window hadn’t been opened in a long time. The room felt damp and poorly ventilated. The only real advantage of this hotel is its location — it’s close to everything. But the space is very limited; the hallway and elevator were really cramped. Honestly, I think this is far from a four-star hotel.
