Stayed at the Skytel Hotel in Beijing as part of a tour group (TripADeal). Room was surprisingly spacious and well equipped. Our room was a standard hotel room, but had a separate toilet and large walk in robe. Only issue for the room was on final night when the light near the bathroom sink would not turn off (no matter what we tried). Breakfast was included- it was pretty average. Food was mostly cold, including a fresh tray of bacon - almost like it had been cooked and then put in the fridge (funny). Dumplings we’re good. No juice available for three days in a row, so enjoyed three days of hot water!!!

The hotel itself is perfectly comfortable for the price point and the rooms are clean and appointed with all the basic ammenities you need while travelling. The staff were very friendly and although we didn't speak the language, they were very patient with us while we attempted to use our translator apps when required! The location is a very long way from the centre of Beijing however. We stayed here as part of a tour group, however if you're wanting to spend extra time exploring Beijing at leisure like we did, it is a difficult spot to get home to at the end of the night. I would recommend the hotel if you're looking for a hotel in this location. If you want to be more central, then I'd suggest looking at other options.

Stayed on a holiday package & hotel was out of the city, although there were amenities around - convenience store, ATM, cafes/restaurants & parks/running area. Staff didn't understand English but got by with phone language convertors. Hotel doesn't have a bar (something outside near footpath in evening if weather ok) or restaurant (we ate breakfast in a large function room with no atmosphere). Reasonably priced local restaurants close by. Room was a good size & came with everything needed - small fridge, jug, hard bed, good curtains, charging plugs - only issue was TV was in Chinese & mode brochure on how ti change to English language & how to access content or add English sub-titles. Breakfast was OK- mainly eastern cuisine but basic western options available. Coffee was OK - slow machines but options. Cool delivery robot operating in foyer which delivered items eg ordered food delivery, to individual rooms.
