I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The views from my room were one of the best I've seen in Florence - breathtaking! The staff was incredibly accommodating, and when I mentioned that the airflow in our room was a bit still, they promptly delivered a fan to our door upon my return. The rooftop bar was another highlight - not only did it have an amazing view, but the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about their creative drink recommendations. And speaking of attentive service, the restaurant at the hotel really stood out. We were initially seated outside, but when it started to drizzle, the server kindly offered to move us inside for dinner, which we happily accepted. One of the best things about this hotel is its location - it's just a short walk from the primary train station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Florence.
Hotel is very beautiful and delicately set. You can observe each and every minute details put up perfectly. Feels like room was setup carefully with perfection for you. Also staffs are really helpful and welcoming. Main plus is the roof top bar. You can enjoy amazing sun set from there which has a pool side view.
The main reason we selected this hotel was because of the pool and its amenities like the laundry. However both of these proved to be a pain to use. The pool was impossible to use unless you were there to grab a spot at 9am when they open or maybe around 12pm when some people would go to lunch. But as a tourist planning to do some exploring in the morning and pool lounging in the afternoon, it was impossible. We read the pool was by reservation, however they removed the reservations and now it is impossible to find a spot after 1pm. The “hotel” is very big with 200+ rooms and the pool area is the size of a room, so not enough space for even half the guests. The laundry was another appeal of this place, however you can only use 1 machine at a time and it only has one setting which is 40 minutes so if you have clothing that need to be washed separately then you will spend half a day here doing laundry. Even if you want to pay for the extra machine, you can’t because it’s all handled through an app. Additionally, there is no space to add your detergent, it says the machine already dispenses it. However while washing my load it all looked clear and like there was zero soap. The hotel is a mix of students and tourists, but is more catered to students with tourist prices (breakfast was €17.50 if reserved ahead of time or €19.50 on the spot, insane!). Because the building is so big not all areas connect, so you might have to take 2-3 elevators to reach your destination depending where you are. The rooms are nice and modern, but the AC inside is weak, we had to buy a fan to be able to sleep in the summer when the temperature was rising to 100’F. The rest of the room was ok, bathrooms were clean and the room had a minimalist style which I appreciate. Overall I am giving it 3 stars because the main appeal for staying in this hotel versus one closer to city center was the pool & laundry and we were unable to use either one properly. Additionally, the distance from any main attraction is an average of 20 minutes which is inconvenient if you need to come back mid day for a break. Because of this, I would recommend staying somewhere closer to city center.
