Room was small but perfect for a NYC getaway. Walking distance to little Italy, china town and Soho shoppes. The location is perfect. The decor in the lobby is very nice and the hotel is extremely clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating as well. This hotel is not wheelchair accessible and you will have to carry your bags upstairs. BUT if that’s okay with you then you’ll be just fine lol!
It was a pleasant experience that hit all the high notes of a good hotel. It was convenient location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Most importantly a good nights sleep in a comfy bed and fabulous crisp white linens and the pillows were a wow. Only thing that was an inconvenience was it had no elevator; but the front desk never hesitated to have someone help with the bags. Loved this kitchy hotel and it's historical vibe all rolled into one.
For the money I think you can do a lot better than this hotel. It looks great from the outside, and the lobby is very hip and inviting but that is about where it ends. Check in time is 4, and my room was ready exactly at 4, OK. Don’t expect any amenities in the hotel except coffee in the morning and some vending machines that only accept cash. There were no waters in the room and no mini bar, so don’t expect that. The room was clean but had a strong perfume smell that was not a welcoming. The rooms are small but that is to be expected, they just look kinda tired with super budget looking AC units. The bathroom was the worst part, they really need an upgrade. I was pretty disappointed with the hotel for the money, and would look elsewhere. It just didn’t seem like a room I wanted to spend any time in, which isn’t a bad thing, lots to do in NYC I guess!
