Stayed for 2 nights and it was a really good experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and a great size. We had room service and the food was pretty good. The pulled pork croquettes were the best thing we had. If we ever come back to Dublin, it's definitely where we will be staying.
We stayed at The Spencer Hotel at the start and end of a group tour. In spite of being part of a large group, we received warm, personalized service as if we were the only family staying there. The hotel is immaculate, very nicely appointed rooms, has a very comfortable bar/lounge area, is convenient to many shops and noteworthy sites, and most of all, the staff couldn't have been more courteous. From my pre-visit communication with Filip regarding luggage storage, to the exceptional service at the front desk from Lillian during our stay, we were highly pleased with our experience.
Great experience overall- would absolutely stay again. Good service, and rooms are beautiful, clean, and modern with a lovely view of the river. The restaurant and bar are worth hitting even if you don’t stay here, and the health club is absolutely top notch; great perk of staying here. We made liberal use of the jacuzzi and gym, and it’s nice that there are adults only hours scheduled. Two slight negatives: one, the rooms do in fact have air conditioning, but it’s not very powerful. In my experience, hotel AC gets your room very cold, but this only got the room down to about 72° F which was a touch warm for me to sleep comfortably. The second issue was that the stairs are very poorly lit- the lights are on motion sensors, but they were not very sensitive and often didn’t even turn on until we were all the way down the flight. Overall would recommend! Walking distance to temple bar, St Stephen’s Green, museums, lots of restaurants and shopping.
