First time in Mauritius, and what a wonderful island and incredible resort we were lucky to choose! Staying at the St. Regis was definitely one of the best decisions we made. From day one, we felt completely at home. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Most of the restaurants were excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious options. The only exception was the Mauritian restaurant, it was average compared to the rest. The daily activities organized by the hotel were fantastic and gave us the chance to try everything we had hoped for. A special mention to the two amazing employees who didn’t hesitate to help us experience new and fun activities. They were even more excited than we were to take us on complimentary biking, hiking, and fishing trips
We stayed in the resort for 3 nights in early June 2025. The resort was luxurious ✨ I absolutely loved the combination of tiles and overall design. Our room was clean and well-maintained. Some parts of the beach were crystal clear😍! I’d give the room and resort facilities a solid 5/5. However, the service didn’t quite meet our expectations—I’d give it a 3/5. For the following reasons: 1- After a long flight and a long journey from the airport we were welcomed with a cold towel only! No welcome drink or even a water! 2- No one took us on a tour around the resort! And when we asked for a map or something to refer to, the response was “don’t worry the resort is not that big” instead of offering a quick tour especially that we’e arrived way earlier than check in time. 3- We arrived at 11:30am and waited until check-in time at 2:00pm. Which is understandable, however, the room was missing the dine-in/services menus, no beach tote bag, and the welcome set wasn’t that special. 4- The resort daily program was distributed on the same day during breakfast 😕 most of the activities were limited to a certain time slots in the morning! We couldn’t enjoy any water sports or activities as we usually swim in the afternoon or didn’t know the schedule ahead to plan.
This was our first time visiting Mauritius, and if we return in the future, we will definitely choose The St. Regis again. The hotel’s location in the south of the island is simply incredible—crystal-clear water and close to many of the island’s best activities. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, well-maintained landscaping, and a wide range of activities to enjoy. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the outstanding service. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and eager to help. Special thanks to Kevin, the Head of Concierge, for his support and responsiveness. We also truly appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of Jal and Nathan from the water activities team, and Aroumel who took great care of us by the pool. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable!
