This hotel is very close to the White House and walkable to the national mall. When booking there are options to include breakfast with your stay. I would recommend that to anyone staying here. The convenience of walking downstairs cannot be overstated. They have their evening sabering which is nice and handled kids well while attending. This hotel does not have a pool or other amenities newer St. Regis have but that is overlooked due to its great location and history.

I stayed here for three nights during a work trip, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was fast, and the front desk staff were super helpful — even gave me a list of local places to grab dinner. The room was spacious, the bed was really comfortable (and I’m picky about beds), and everything felt clean and well-maintained. The Wi-Fi worked well for Zoom meetings, and they had a desk with enough plugs — small thing, but it matters. One night I needed extra towels and someone brought them within 5 minutes. Solid experience from start to finish.

The front desk lied to me regarding the bicycles. They were available and sitting in front but they said they couldn’t allow me to take it because they had no safety lights. When I looked for myself, the safety rear and front light were both there. I informed the hotel just to be given another excuse. Also, the hotel took my garments for pressing and delivered them with black stains. I had to go to my important meeting with dirty clothes as a result. I literally just asked for the hotel to pay for the cleaning of the staining it caused. Instead of the GM of the hotel swiftly resolving it, they purposefully put a claim to get some nonsense adjuster involved that didn’t investigate anything and merely denied any wrongdoing as they always do. This was a a bad experience that could have easily been resolved, but the hotel purposefully didn’t resolve it. Bad experience and bad feeling. Kyla was beyond inconsiderate and legally incorrect. Don’t recommend.
