Very good location. Check in was a little confusing. Read the signs that say pitch up and then someone will come to you. The warden came over as soon as we pitched up. He was very welcoming and friendly. Pitches were slightly sloping so be aware to take levelling blocks. Warden was very accommodating. No shop, wifi or pool use on site We took a taxi into town at just of £6 each way which is worth it as the walk is quite long. There is a road that runs past the site which can be quite busy at times. We had an enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Camping was okay. Not much of a welcome, no reception area of staff on hand to welcome you I had to call and a guy who was helpful in fairness did walk down to meet me else it's pretty much a figure it out for yourself situation. The toilets and showers needed cleaning more frequently, although the showers were a good temperate. I stayed with a tent and hook up it didn't seem quite pricey at £30 per night for what you get but not much competition for camping around Aberystwyth. It did for me me as I was off site with friends most of the the weekend.
We booked this site for a change and to try a different place. Unfortunately my motorhome had turbo issues the night before so we could not make it. On the website it advised to ring first and speak to a manager before cancelling the pitch. As it was late at night we had to wait until the morning which was the day we were due to be travelling. We advised that we had to cancel, it wasn't like it wasn't a legitimate reason. We were advised a manager would call us back and we would be given a refund minus 15%. We wasn't really that bothered but considering we followed the process we awaited a call. In short nobody called us back. We continually had to email and call and every time we spoke with someone they promised a call back that day which never happened. Nearly 2 weeks after the initial booking someone has finally called us back and advised we won't get any refund. Throughout this process, when all we wanted was transparency, we just felt ignored and not believed. We even went to the lengths of sending them the invoice and that it had cost me £1000 to get the turbo fixed. We received a call today 08/08/25 and were advised we cannot have a refund. The refund is irrelevant really and had they said this on day one instead of avoiding us and failing to return calls and emails we would have just accepted it. But they strung us a long. Made it an unnecessary process and a huge waste of time. We will never book this campsite again if this is how they treat people. They may have gained £60 but they have lost the potential for a lot more.
