The Stables at Owlett Hall

Love this absolute gem of a find! Quaint little cottage style self contained place. We weren't supposed to check in till four but we were going to a wedding and needed to arrive early. Addy managed to have the room ready for us when we arrived. Nice clean shower room and the towels were so soft and smelt amazing! Never paid any attention to towels before but this is my new standard all future towels will be held to! The biggest, comfiest bed I've ever slept in. When I tell you the sheets were like butter... I did not want to leave. Breakfast was lush; bread, cereal, croissants, homemade (I think?) jam and fruit all left for us, tea, coffee, fruit tea, anything you could want. The only thing we would have liked but wasn't available was some white sugar, but not a big deal, we had toast and croissants. Would have liked a later check out to lounge in bed a bit longer! I will say if you're staying for a wedding prebook taxis as they're hard to get, we rang Paul (the very last number in the help book) he was great, and went out of his way to make sure we got to the wedding on time.

The only thing more lovely than the place is the wonderful host, met with such a warm smile and most wonderful welcome, so thoughtful were then personal touches of coffee,tea,fresh bread and ceral...perfect when you have driven for hours and can't be bothered to run to the shop (which is conveniently located just around the corner). Can't recommend highly enough

What a lovely little cottage. My wife and I stayed here for one night after attending a wedding at the nearby Hirst Priory. It's a perfect little place. It has everything you could need and was extremely clean.Plenty of places in the village for food, chippy, Chinese, Indian. Tesco express, co-op within a 2 minute walk. The owners are suoer friendly and obviously take great pride in being excellent hosts. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
