The Stag at Stow

We had a great time at the Stag! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and beautiful. The super king sized bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Room was stocked with tea and treats and there were amenities in the bathroom. A breakfast buffet was included with the room, however it is pretty small (no cooked food). Cooked breakfast was available at a reasonable price but we didn’t try it. The hotel is also a pub. Overall a great experience in the heart of Stow which is a charming little town and a great place to stay.

Just came from a two night stay. Staff friendly and attentive. Central location and quiet at night. Ate at the restaurant and the venison was wow, well had to have this dish at the stag. Rooms were excellent and quirky, love their names. Parking was okay 2 hours free outside and then we were able to park in hotels parking. Excellent location to visit other villages in the Cotswolds. Loved it.

Great place to stay, great location, and the staff are great! Only downside, given that the building is old, the layout inside is a tight maze. Big suitcases will have you struggling to get to your room if you are staying on the top floor. Get ready for a workout. Walls and floors are thin, you have hear muffled sounds from your neighbors. Just a few things that, personally, I can overlook for a restful night's sleep. I would definitely come back!
