The Standard Hotel has a great vibe and consistently good service. The prices are fair, the spaces are well-designed, and everything feels thoughtfully set up. Every time I go, I have a great time with my friends — it’s always a good experience. The view is absolutely incredible, which just adds to the overall atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth visiting.
Comfy and cool hotel. David and staff went above and beyond to satisfy and delight us for our stay. The only thing I was a little disappointed with is that we were supposed to have been booked with water views and deff couldn’t see the water. Also, I was there with my friend and the shower while very sexy, when traveling with a friend might make it uncomfortable if you were with a family member or someone you weren’t close with. Super cool design but I would only give that shower option to someone that said they were staying with their spouse. We did order a king bed so they probably assumed it was a couple.
Do not stay in this hotel do not try and book it, I had a really challenging experience with this hotel. I should’ve guessed because the booking procedure was really hard work. I had to make repeated international causes. There was an issue with my booking which was a problem from their side. I was there left on hold many times and the cost of the cause was around $100 international. The rooms are overpriced in the attitude of the staff is strange. It’s definitely not a place for families or kids. Everything was overpriced and the rooms were not in the best condition. I think I’ve got a bite from a bedbug or spider. I would avoid this hotel there are so many good options in New York and the attitude and the type of service that you get here is definitely definitely not worth the money avoid.
