The StandardX Melbourne

This is a fantastic boutique hotel located in the middle of a really cool area of Melbourne. The little touches in the room such as providing a Bluetooth speaker really made it for me. The hotel restaurant was excellent too but if you don't want to eat there then there are loads of great spots all around to explore. I stayed here for work but I'd also highly recommend for a city break.

We stayed here during our wedding weekend about a month ago, and it was just the most brilliant stay. The staff were kind, accommodating, helpful and absolutely wonderful to deal with. The brunch was delicious, generously-proportioned and so gorgeously unique. We can't recommend this hotel more highly, and we'll be back!

Be Careful, money was debited from my account incorrectly, and after 5 weeks, I am still waiting for a refund. Communication has been slack. I have to keep chasing them. This should have been resolved immediately with an apology, a refund to my account, and an offer to compensate. Instead, I have been met with excuses, poor communication, and silence. It has ruined what was a good weekend and what could have been a good review. If they require a deposit for your room, ensure it is a separate transaction from your accommodation fee. And check your bank statement to see that the correct amount goes through your account. Or pay cash.
