Great boutique hotel, right in the heart of the CBD. The hotel has a lovely ambience, super clean, comfy bed and luxury bathroom. We also got a free upgrade to a King Room. After a long day of hikes and exploring the city, we slept like babies. Would totally recommend this if you’re on a short visit to the city ☺️
Absolutely loved this little hotel in this cute little town, wish we had more nights in new Plymouth it’s extremely underrated! The hotel was adorable, the room was comfortable, the shower was luxurious and they provided chocolates, tea, coffee and shampoo/conditioner. Walking distance to a few restaurants and such! We arrived late and the front desk host was kind enough to carry our luggage up to our room for us and give dining recs! Wish we had time to use the beautiful corner sitting room, highly recommend!
In New Plymouth for a couple of work trips, one for a week and the second for two weeks. Would absolutely recommend the State for both short and longer trips. I usually sleep poorly in hotels but have slept like a baby here. Very comfortable beds and cozy rooms. AJ is a brilliant host, super friendly, lots of tips for things to do around the area in your free time and he remembers your name! If I could give more than 5-stars, I would!
