The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel

We had a really nice stay here. Manager Rodney helped us and our room was very spacious & comfortable - couch & bed were both really comfy. The second floor lounge is lovely, well appointed & excellent bartenders last night - the male one made fabulous martinis 🍸 We had an issue with Jose upon check-in, but Rodney fixed everything and we’re happy. All other staff is super friendly & accommodating, great location, spacious rooms - recommend.

This is a great hotel. It is not like the big chain hotels. The room was huge, I felt like royalty. I stayed on the 7th floor pretty near the elevators. The only downside is that you can hear car noises from outside pretty well. Besides that, everything was great. They clean your room by request, so they don't go in your room unless asked to. That was fine with me. I came here due to a work conference. The food was good, but it could be better. The staff were amazing. Quick to clean, take your plate, assist. About a mile from the capitol which you can easily walk to. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great place to stay.

We went here for a day pass to enjoy the facilities and check out the hotel for a future stay. The staff were so welcoming, professional and helpful. The hotel's architecture was stunning and you could see an old world charm that I love. Everything was really clean and well maintained. We enjoyed going up to the balcony but with the rain we did not stay up there long. We definitely will be back. Check out this amazing hotel if your in Austin.
