The Summit Rainforest Retreat

My vehicle had a major breakdown, and I have to wait for a part to come from Japan, which was going to take up to 6 weeks. In the meantime, I was waiting for a friend to come and rescue me 😁 I rang all around Atherton and Malanda only to find everything was booked out, then a number popped up for a B&B. Well, I can tell you I was pretty happy by this time. Paula owns more than 1 B&B in Atherton and she is a truly lovely lady with a heart of Gold, she was very kind to provide accommodation for me on 2 occasions during the initial first week of my ute breakdown. This place (The Summit Rainforest Retreat and Convention Centre) is gorgeous, in a rustic way, very much my style, also very well priced. I had it all to myself. It is situated up on a hill, and you sit out on the main deck overlooking Atherton.

Shared entrance .kitchen is shared also . Like a big house . Rooms don’t have their own fridge or tea making . Nice shower and ensuite in room though .

STAY AWAY ! My kids and I booked a stay at the rainforest resort in one of the bigger rooms. We were Very upset when we had to continuously keep out one year old Out of the random table that were in the lounge room Covered in spider-webs and spiders. Behind every tv was dusty and most of the Furniture was dirty. Definitely.Did not get the vibe.It would be like a conference room off the website , but it was. Really recommend not staying there , especially if you have kids. Manager had to come out and clean at eight o'clock at night. My four year old refused to sleep in the room because there was so many Spiders in there and had to sleep on an unsanitry couch. I've tried reaching out but to no avail. Would love to get my money back or have not stayed there at all.
