The Sun Inn

Booked a table for a Sunday evening whilst staying in Hook Norton and had a very enjoyable meal. I opted for the Pork Loin roast, served with roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and lovely vegetables. My partner chose the beer battered fish 'n' chips, served with chunky chips, peas and tartare sauce. We also shared a dessert of strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake. Both our meals were washed down with great quality local ales. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive and our food was served fresh to our table and tasted delicious. Reasonably priced for what we had and we will definitely visit again when in Hook Norton, thank you.

Lovely old building in a beautiful village. Modern inside but cleverly done so as not to feel too clinical. Food really good. Simple and straightforward but everything we had was done to perfection. Staff also great; efficient and friendly.

Good and bad. Family had a meal here and my meal was terrible. Had the chicken burger and it must have been deep fried in some dodgy old oil as the colour was almost black and didn't taste any better than it looked. Practically inedible. However, the rest of the family enjoyed theirs. Especially the lamb stew. Delicious! Service was great too. Dog friendly.
