Fullers' pubs and Inns are exceptional and The Swan is no exception to that. We stayed in Room3 which fronts onto the High Street. I walked into the room and it hugely exceeded my expectations: large and airy, robes, a chaise at the end of the bed. Everything so clean and fresh. Bathroom was a good size with walk-in shower. Nothing that didn't work as expected. We had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent. Great service! Breakfast was also very good. My only minor nit would be that the bathroom didn't have hooks for towels or robes. There was a towel rail but I would have ideally liked some hooks.
We cannot recommend The Swan Hotel enough. Me and my husband got married in the Town Hall yesterday and had a beautiful reception and stay in The Swan. The staff were all absolutely amazing, very kind and helpful and gave us a beautiful welcome as we arrived from our ceremony. We have been treated with such kindness and grace and could not have a better time! The hotel manager, Beata, has been incredibly helpful and accommodating and so lovely and has done an amazing job with decorations and signs and place cards that have also been specially written by the staff, who are very talented. I come from the Czech Republic and the chef was happy to create a special request meal for us, to honour our traditions and all the food has been delicious. The room we stayed in was beautiful and comfortable and clean with complimentary hot drinks and toiletries. All this was such a reasonable price, considering how amazing the service was. We would recommend this hotel to anybody who would like a wedding reception or just to stay the night when exploring the beautiful town of Arundel.
Booked a table for evening meal while away for the weekend, always good to find somewhere that does real ale, had the sharing skewers starter, not particularly big considering it was for sharing, steak and ale pie for main was very nice, strawberry cheesecake Eaton mess for desert, not quite sure what it was supposed to be, one strawberry cut in to 4 quarters on top of a creamy slop for £8.50. Staff were very attentive and looked after us well. Would give it another visit if in the area.
