The Taikang Sanya a Tribute Portfolio Resort

Amazing hotel. Went here twice (june 2023 and february 2025). Very close to the south china sea. Impressive waves. I love the garden around the hotel. I love the central patio with its pond. I love the breakfast. I love having dinner at the Chinese restaurant (I was disappointed that the last time they didn't have the green baobun they had the first time). The tiramisu and coffee at the cafe are great. The gym is good, though a little bit small and it is in popular demand, even if the hotel is not fully booked. Last time they gave us a "free" photoshoot, free meaning you get to have 5 pictures digitally. However, our photographer was really good and made the photoshoot a memorable event. Buying all the photos digitally and one album cost us about 3000 yuan. The cost of this hotel is the only reason for not staying here permanently. In two visits I did not encounter a single unfriendly member of staff. Compared to other hotels on Hainan, there is a decent amount of Western food options, albeit more for breakfast than for dinner.
