Exceptional British food. Sorry to read some of the reviews where people evidently don’t get it. This is a cut above standard pub grub, whilst still being humble (read generous portions) and authentic (read amazing pastry and hand cut chips), and therefore may be unfamiliar some. Compliments to the team! Keep it up!
We called in as we were passing by. We were very warmly greeted by the bar man. We ordered a fish finger sandwich and cheese ploughman's. Food was super tasty, cooked fresh and portions were huge! What a peaceful spot! We will definitely be back now we have found this place.
Absolutely fabulous, quaint, historical, friendly. Good beers, ciders, wines and spirits.. Staff and Landlady very professional and approachable. Breakfast must be experienced, homemade bread, jams, marmalade. Fresh laid eggs, fresh fruits, and a full cooked. Plenty of parking and room for large parties. Meals subject to fresh ingredients so menu daily. I could go on, all based upon my 5 day stay.
