The Talbot Hotel Malton North Yorkshire

Had a one night stay at the end of a longer trip. Check in was easy and the room ready by 3pm as advised. The room was immaculate and well presented (very trendy and comfortable). The staff were extremely friendly; whether in the bar or restaurant. Food and drinks offerings were wonderful. Transport links into York via train, or local areas via bus are brilliant. I will absolutely look to stay again.

My friend and I had lunch here last week. We were waiting for a friend who ended up not coming. We did wait quite some time for her and I explained this to the staff and they were absolutely fine about not needing the table back quickly. The staff, especially the two male managers were fantastic. Really friendly, helpful, funny with the right level of service. The menu is fabulous. We only had light bites but they were amazing. Then, we were able to sit outside in the sunshine having coffees. It’s just a little touches, everything is thought of, and things that you haven’t thought of is catered for as well. I love the fact it is dog friendly, although I don’t have a dog! And the atmosphere and interiors are beautiful, get relaxed at the same time. I can’t wait to go back.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a lovely Anniversary evening meal at the Talbot. The food was beautifully prepared. Everything was fresh and excellent quality. It wasn’t cheap but it was value for money as we literally ate everything put in front of us. The Talbot is quite rustic with a lovely bar (exceedingly comfortable sofa), beautiful grounds with plenty of seating to enjoy views over the countryside. Dog friendly and more importantly people friendly. Zac looked after us on the night and was excellent. Will definitely eat there again.
