The Talbot Hotel Oundle Northamptonshire

I was passing through Oundle for work and needed somewhere to stay. Talbot was very reasonably priced for what I could see in the pictures. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. A gorgeous historic village with a sedated relaxed feeling. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms are nice and comfortable. Plenty of free parking available. The courtyard is a really nice place to sit in the sun and the restaurant was excellent. the staff were attentive and reacted well to my allergy request. Food was great I would only ask that they have another steak option also. Really nice, would recommend.

Lovely old hotel with an oasis of tranquility at its heart. The courtyard café is such a lovely place to enjoy a coffee and convivial conversation. The staff are quick to serve and kind. Well worth a visit.

An unexpected delight, really great value for a fabulous room in such an interesting building. Highlights included free nearby parking, a warm welcome at Reception, a huge super-comfy bed, and a stunning bathroom. We wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to book in again soon and use Oundle as a base for visiting nearby attractions/cities.
