The property is absolutely stunning—nestled in nature with beautifully designed rooms that blend heritage charm with modern comfort. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options to suit every palate, and the service was warm, attentive, and truly five-star. What stood out the most was their incredible hospitality and the thoughtful attention given to every little detail. Our family felt so well taken care of. And for those with kids—there are plenty of fun activities to keep the little ones entertained all day long! Highly recommend Tamara Kodai for a peaceful, luxurious, and family-friendly getaway. Can’t wait to visit again!
We have wonderful memories there… we stayed there and like food very much… staffs are kind and friendly people….pool was super clean and they takes care of the property very nicely… like to visit more often and add more to our memories…
We stayed for longer period of 5 nights in there 2 bed room Neelkurinji suite with family. The Property has good charm with rustic design & the old British bungalow is nicely extended with addition of new structures around it blending well with nature & nestled in quite peaceful location close to the town of Kodaikanal. The staff here was humble, courteous, welcoming & ready to help. The Restaurant team led by Mr Ajay Rana & colleagues Akash & others were very helpful & always tried to fulfil our requirements. The food wasn’t great and minor detailing was missing. It wasn’t bad but my experience with other luxury hotels is far superior about food. The chef & his team tried to serve us best possible but many small detailing were missing like they ran out of pickle two days after we checked in, they had no Jain ketchup to serve, many of the South Indian dishes were not authentic (coconut milk served with idiyappam had lot of green chillies) & the detailing was simply missing - they gave us sandwiches for our way back with lot of chillies in the chutney - horribly hot…..this was even after we ordered them to the chef directly with specific request of non spicy stuff for kids. The property is well laid out with all the facilities like heated swimming pool, large Yoga Room on an elevated spot, play area for kids near lobby equipped with air hockey (chargeable), carrom, chess, some wall games & a snooker table. The SPA is awesome & we all had some very relaxing therapies here. The Ayurvedic doctor on call Ms Vidhya was very helpful. Daily evening Tombola / Housie & Karaoke were nice way to spend quality time with friends & family. Their indoor sitting area near lobby with live bonfire with caffe was cosy & comfy. The life size floor laden snacks & ladders was inviting kids & grown ups equally. Housekeeping levels were good but detailing in the rooms were missing like magnifying mirror was placed on counter height instead of face level, WC were of low height & second bathroom in our suite was small. Rooms could have been better designed. Overall our experience was good with efficient service & positive attitude of the staff adding to the experience. Recommended for stay with family & recommend the management to work upon food quality & detailing in service especially in food department & room amenities.
