The Tankerville Arms

Gorgeous old pub in Eglingham. Our stanav sent us to the wrong pub but we were starving and we decided to just eat here anyway as it looked very inviting from the outside. The staff were very welcoming and happy to serve us in the beer garden. The beer garden is really plesant, spacious and with plenty of room between the tables. Swingball got us both excited! The food was outstanding...perfect lamb shank that melted in your mouth, fresh crunchy veg and the gravy...it was delicious. Our food was served hot and quickly and portions were large without being overwhelming, our dog had plenty of leftover lamb. We loved it here, a random but excellent find and we will definitely revisit when we are next in the area. All of the staff were friendly and attentive.

Last minute stay and we were very pleasantly surprised at just how lovely this place is. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathroom were clean and there were lots of nice touches. The Breakfast was fab, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast and then a cooked breakfast from the menu. There was also a cute beer garden which was basking in the sunshine. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This was our second visit to this amazing place for my husband and our little dog. We stayed in the 'Suite' which is their largest room and everything was perfect. The service is excellent and the staff are brilliant and so welcoming with the locals adding to the friendly atmosphere. The meals are superb too. We will definitely be returning.
