The Telford Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

Booked the "tea time and me time" package and it was amazing. We had Beth and Jess to do our treatments and they were both so lovely and our treatments were so nice, thank you both! Afternoon tea was delicious, plentiful and the ladies in the Gorge were so helpful and kind. All staff we interacted with including reception and pool staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The pool area and facilities were good too. A very relaxing day enjoyed by both me and my mom. Thank you everyone and will see you again soon!

We spent four days at this hotel. The location is very good, only an 11-minute drive to the international center. The only downside of the hotel is the parking. Since it was the weekend, it was difficult to find a parking space. As we had a fairly large SUV, it was hard to get out of the car because the parking spaces were too narrow — but this is a common problem nowadays, not just at this hotel. We had a well-equipped room with a beautiful view. The bed mattress was too soft for our taste, but that’s a matter of preference. The breakfasts at the hotel were typical British style, tasty and fresh. As Europeans, we prefer a different type of breakfast — something lighter, like sliced cheese, cold cuts, and fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, or peppers would be ideal. Every day we had access to fresh bread, croissants, and sweet pastries — delightful. The hotel staff were helpful and very friendly. I had the opportunity to use the pool and sauna. Highly recommended. It was a very relaxing stay.

This was our second visit to the hotel, this time meeting friends for a two-night stay and once again, we had a wonderful time. The staff were professional, friendly, and courteous throughout. The food was lovely, and the breakfasts in particular were fantastic, with enough vegetarian options. The spa and swimming pool made for a relaxing experience, though the water was a little cloudy and the lighting could be improved—but overall, we still thoroughly enjoyed it. The grounds are extensive [mainly a golf course] but it is well maintenance with a great terrace area for evening drinks watching the sun go down. The location is excellent being ideal for walking into Ironbridge via a peaceful riverside track, just a couple of miles away through the valley with Coalport very close and ample of tracks to walk. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and spotless, with a great shower and clean facilities. We also loved the bar area in the evening as it was relaxed, welcoming, and a great spot to unwind. A couple of small notes: drinks are on the expensive side, though that seems fairly standard these days. However, I would avoid the vegetarian burger—it was simply a mushroom with a bit of cheese in a bun, which was disappointing given the cost.
