Called in after a stroll around Barnard Castle. Hadn't booked but we were lucky enough to get a table. So glad we chose to eat here! The food was first class...so tasty and of good quality. I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection. Desserts were great too! All presented nicely. Lovely staff. Good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. We will return when we're up here again.
Popped in for a Sunday roast. I'm glad we did; it was fantastic! Just booked a room for the back end of August so we can stroll around Barnard Castle and enjoy more meals at Three Horseshoes. Hope the room will be good. Extended review pending.
Good pub in the centre of Barnard Castle. Friendly staff. Hadn't booked (recommended) but they managed to serve me a Sunday roast as long as I didn't stay too long. Food arrived promptly. For £14.95 the roast beef, veg etc was magnificent. No wonder all the tables had either people eating already or reserved signs. Good value great food.
