The Tickled Trout

After previously visiting on Mothers Day and things been slightly slow and not the best….we returned today and I have to say it must’ve been an off day. The food was really incredible, absolutely flawless and perfect timing - food came out timely without being rushed. The service was first class, Dan was great and very attentive. Atmosphere is great with a huge area for the kids. We will be back very soon, first class experience!

Stayed here the night the night of our wedding at The Gardens. The manager Mark was fantastic and allowed myself and the groomsmen to get ready in the rooms early before we could check in, even though they were in the process of getting the rooms cleaned from the previous guests. We had breakfast here the morning after for 34 of our wedding guests which was fantastic. The rooms were great and would definitely recommend.

We popped in here on our way home, getting served a drink in the beer garden was nice and quick, but we wanted food. We asked if we could order but they said it’s table service so we continued to wait. After another 15 minutes we asked again and they said they will send someone, eventually we got served (the place was not busy) then the food took ages to come out too. It was such a shame because the beer garden was lovely and dog friendly, but we didn’t want to hang around and it felt like we had to. The staff were friendly when they did serve us it was just really slow. The food was actually nice but I don’t think there should have been a service charge added to your bill when the service was so slow!
