The Trout at Tadpole Bridge

We recently celebrated our anniversary with a meal at The Trout at Tadpole Bridge, it was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a stunning riverside location, the setting made the evening feel special and serene. The food was outstanding – beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care and a passion. Every course was a a mouth full of flavour, and it’s clear the kitchen team take a great deal of pride in their craft. The service was elevated by our waitress, Han, who was superb – attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without being overbearing. Nothing was too much trouble, and she helped make our evening feel truly memorable. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs. Highly recommended for a special occasion or simply a treat – we’ll definitely be returning!

We made a last minute booking as we were looking for somewhere near Witney to view a local kitchen showroom. What a lovely surprise! A fab location by the Thames and super attentive staff. We sat out in the garden in the evening as it was so warm and then had a lovely meal. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Had a lovely family Sunday lunch here. Beautiful location, friendly welcoming staff, well presented tasty food. Highly recommend the prawn & crab linguine, the roast beef & the burgers. Desserts were also superb. We ate under the Tipi canopy in the garden, perfect for enjoying the sunshine without baking!
