Recently refurbished and very comfortable hotel. The staff were excellent particularly the amazing gentleman who helped us sort out a booking which I had unfortunately messed up. They sorted out the issue and were very reassuring and competent. Room is a bit warm but comfortable. Would Certainly recommend
Great pub,with great decor. Stopped for a meal after travelling to Glenridding on the Ullswater steamers, service was outstanding, and food is above your usual pub standard so prices may be very slightly higher but worth every penny with the quality of the food. Staff and the manager are super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area. It is also dog friendly, as the sign at rear entrance says," well behaved dogs welcome"
Greta beer garden overlooking a stream close to the edge of Ullswater. Great quality food and beer plus service was excellent. Parking is available but limited. We used the community field opposite as swam / kayaked the length of Ullswater so for the entire day cost £7 (recommended donation)
