We popped here for Sunday lunch and couldn't believe how quiet the restaurant was as the food and service were amazing. The staff were all super friendly and made me feel so comfortable about breastfeeding at the table. There was one lady who was super lovely but didn't catch her name. Great value for money, lovely food, lovely staff and a beautiful setting.

Hubby and I have just enjoyed a wonderful one night stay here. On arrival the lady who greeted us was so friendly and showed us to our room, had a lovely chat about holidays, no rush just really friendly. Our room was number 1, spacious, clean, cozy with every thing you need. Decor very nicely done, throughout the whole pub, very pleasant, relaxing presentation. We had a really nice beef roast evening meal, lovely staff serving checked on us to ensure we had everything. We enjoyed a nice relaxing drink in the bar watching the lionesses win. Slept really well, bed and pillows so comfy. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and plentiful. Then had a good chat with the owner, who is so nice and down to earth. We will definitely make this our go to place to stop when next in the area for a metal detecting meet up. Great spot, visited whilst working and needed somewhere to stay. The staff and owner were all really friendly and helpful, food was fantastic, everything was clean and well kept. Only thing I would say is that the room was quite small but didn't affect me too much being a solo traveller.
