The Villas at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa

An amazing 5-star experience! I recently stayed at Sunway Resort Hotel and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. The service was top-notch—every staff member I interacted with was polite, helpful, and professional. The location is unbeatable. Being directly connected to Sunway Pyramid Mall and just steps away from Sunway Lagoon makes it perfect whether you're with family, on a couple's getaway, or traveling for work. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill was a highlight—well worth the visit. Everything here is designed for comfort and luxury. The only thing to note is that it’s a little on the pricey side, but for the quality and convenience, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

I stayed a few days in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa for the AFC Medical Conference 2025. Gym & Pool: Honestly the best part of this hotel is the gym! 💪 The view from treadmill is a fountain and pool — super peaceful and makes workout better! Equipment all Technogym and perfect! Room: My room was nice and clean, everything was the way it should be. No complaints here. Ballrooms & Conference area: AFC & hotel management did amazing. Everything was smooth and well-organized. Loved it! 👏 Breakfast area: This was the only downside for me… Not enough options, way too crowded, and during peak hours I had to wait quite long just to get in. Didn’t enjoy it honestly. Laundry: Super fast and clean! I really liked their laundry service. 🧺 Location: There’s a mall connected to G level — so convenient! You can get almost anything there. General: Overall I had a great time and experience — giving them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I really enjoyed my stay.

Disappointing Experience for a Supposed 5-Star Hotel I expected a lot more from a 5-star establishment, but unfortunately, our stay was marked by frustrating service failures from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, we were informed that our reservation—made and confirmed via Agoda—was “cancelled.” However, our Agoda app clearly showed the booking was still confirmed. This led to over an hour of unnecessary calls with Agoda support to resolve the issue, while the hotel staff did little to assist beyond pushing the responsibility back to us. For a premium hotel, this level of coordination is unacceptable. What made things worse was the poor handling of a simple but urgent request. My wife was unwell, and I had food delivered for her while I was away from the hotel. I called the concierge twice and was assured they would bring the food up to the room. An hour later, the food was still sitting with the concierge—completely ignored. I had to rush back and take a taxi just to personally bring it up. This is not the standard of care or hospitality one expects from a hotel claiming 5-star service. The staff lacked follow-through and accountability on multiple fronts. Very disappointing experience.
