The Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments

My first visit was to the spa. Subsequently I went back from time to time for massages. New year after lockdown, I booked a 3 bed apartment for my 2 sisters, nieces and nephews for the holidays. The apartment is spacious and nicely furnished with contemporary furniture. The ambiance is so nice.

I had an excellent and wonderful experience at Wells Carlton. From the environment, the ambience, the staff and hygiene. Everything is just so top notch.

No luxury. No ac on in hotel. Very hot. The pool i booked for is torn down. The remaining pool is so full of chemicals i could hardly breath walking past it. Their restaurant is closed. The pool side bakery is closed. I had to walk around building outside to go to their only "restaurant" in what they call thti apartments because theres only a long stairway to get there. I have a disability in my knee. The room smells very strong of that air freshener again, lots of flies trying to get on our food. 30000 food was worth 8000. Nothing in advertisements is as pictured. Horrible bed, broken room ac so we asked to leave hotel 10 minutes after checking in. They said sorry and switched our room. No tub in classic room as advertised. New room bed was good but has staples stabing my legs from side of bed. Man came and made ac work but is very noisy all night. Chairs in room need to be cleaned, is dirty in both rooms. Front desk look confused and offended that said the hotel smells badly from their use of air freshener sticks in little vases. Theyre toxic and cause asthma. Especially in a hot humid hotel. I had to take pain pills with cold rag and sleep from headache from the air fresheners. All this ruined our 2 day anniversary trip. Im leaving after one night. We came for warm pool with the swings and good restaurant for anniversary. Their is no amenities at this hotel. NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. Huge disappointment! I would not stay here even for free. $300usd wasted! Not a luxury hotel.
