The Westbourne Hyde Park

Great location waking distance to lots, blocks from Hyde Park. Staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. Ice cold air conditioning. Brought us ice water while waiting for our room since we arrived early. We will stay here for future London visits too.

Air-conditioning not working in half the rooms. Staff promised an email from management after the weekend, non received. Great location, but given current room maintenance and management attitude would not recommend it. We were a large group. We have booked 10 rooms on my personal recommendation based on my stay in the hotel last year. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. AC was not working in 4 rooms first night. We were promised it's fixed next day only to break down again on 3rd night. All they did was provide fans. On the last day they offered a basement room with AC for one of the rooms. At checkout (weekend) we were promised management will be informed and we should expect an email and possibly compensation. Never heard from them.

Location is nice, rooms are not well looked after with broken toilet flush in the bathroom and broken hook on the door. Damp on the ceiling in the bedroom. Window partially blocked across the middle so no view at all. Left a small item in the room and only realised once on the train home. Staff were not willing to help at all, wouldn't send (even if we covered the cost). Arranged collection which was denied twice. Avoid this one. You can get far better for what they are charging.
