The Westin Blue Bay Resort & Spa

Went there last year and still miss it! Amazing place, amazing location, superb food and wine and brilliantly managed. One of the directors spotted us checking in and helped us throughout our stay, even taking us to dinner one evening at a real downtown Sanya restaurant where our English would have got us nowhere. If I go back to Hainan this is where I'd like to go back to stay. Close to Monkey Island, which is accessible only by ski lift. It was Easter and our whole trip cost far less than an equivalent to Spain.

Just stayed here for 5 nights. Great ocean view. Every room faces ocean the way it is built. Good food and services.

Four stars for the facilities but three stars for the restaurant services. While having breakfast, we (2 people) were asked to share a four-person table with a family of three. Sharing tables with strangers are common in cheaper restaurants in China but it is unheard of at a four-star hotel like Westin. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant during the breakfast time was hectic. It’s buffet style and you feel like you are in a crowded supermarket.
