As a wedding photographer, The Westin Chicago Northwest is an absolute gem to work at! The outdoor scenery is stunning—with lush greenery, a peaceful lake, and beautifully landscaped paths that create the perfect backdrop for portraits and first looks. The natural light in the tented reception space is a dream come true. It filters in so softly, making everything from the décor to the couple's first dance look magical in photos. The staff was also incredibly accommodating and professional, which makes a huge difference on a busy wedding day. Highly recommend this venue for couples looking for an elegant space with picturesque views and beautiful natural light!
I recently stayed two nights in Chicago and split my time between this hotel and another popular brand near ORD airport—and hands down, this property was the clear winner. I have not experienced many hotels that are this well-maintained. The place was pristine from top to bottom. The check-in staff were fine, but what really stood out was the property itself—absolutely stunning. Everything was modern, spotless, and exactly as advertised on the hotel’s page. The bathroom, in particular, was incredible—spacious, sleek, and immaculately clean. I was in a rush and didn’t get a chance to take photos, but it looked just like the pictures. I called the front desk for a few amenities, and they delivered them almost immediately, which I really appreciated. The entire stay was comfortable and relaxing, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the hotel. Overall, I had an excellent experience and will definitely be choosing Westin more often from now on. Highly recommend!
Not the ideal hotel to stay at if you're staying several days. There isn't any services near the hotel at all. You have to drive 10-15 minutes if you want to eat or shop. My room was pretty small. It had a mini fridge, but no microwave. The restaurant there has good food, but it's very pricey. The staff were all very helpful. I probably won't stay here again just based on the location.
