We had a great stay at The Westin Copley Place! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. What really made it stand out for us was the convenience — all the nearby malls and surrounding buildings are connected via indoor walkway bridges, which was a huge plus while traveling with a toddler and a dog in the cold weather. It made getting around so much easier without ever having to step outside. The location is fantastic, and the overall experience was smooth and relaxing. Highly recommend.
The Westin is in a perfect location for an easy-on and off I90 trip to Boston. The rooms were clean and larger than other Boston and NYC hotels. Climate control in the rooms was great. Some of the charges are outrageous, but I knew about them in advance - the $35 "destination fee," 20 of which is refunded if you spend it in the hotel. The $70 valet parking fee is also outrageous. All the staff members were courteous and professional, although I didn't encounter anyone who was effusive - they are all very busy all the time. The location is also spectacular - aside from instant on and off of I90, easy (but expensive) parking, you are close to everything in Back Bay and a two-minute walk from a T station. A cat walk gives you access to the network of Prudential Center connected shopping - and Newbury street is also a quick walk. I hadn't spent extended time in Back Bay since 1978. The neighborhood is very safe even if it lacks the sleazy character it had in the late 70s. I will stay here again, for sure, and the pay-ahead, uncancellable reservation was ultimately a good deal, considering how expensive Boston has become. I knew in advance exactly how much it was going to cost.
Hot….very hot since I got there. Over two days I could never get a cool temp no matter how many times I called, had tech come to room twice and day or night it was hot. It was cooler outside than inside the hotel. The bar was lively, location great and it was clean. Bummer as I could not sleep for two nights.
