We had an amazing time visiting Denver at this hotel. The location was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The valet service was the best I’ve ever experienced, hands down! We had a spacious patio room on the fourth floor. It featured dividers between the outside patios, but the overall space was shared with the other patio rooms on the floor. It was a great spot to enjoy coffee and get some work done in the morning, but just be aware, it’s not fully private. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed lived up to Westin’s high standards. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the dual shower heads were a nice touch. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool. They had enjoyable background music and rolled out a bar in the afternoon to make the most of the time there. Overall, it was a great stay all around.
It was okay - would explore other options for hotels next time we visit Denver. We went to the front desk at ~2pm on Tuesday looking to check in. The hotel was busy and stated they would put a rush on our room but wouldn’t be ready until check in time which is 4pm. That was fine but when it came time to 4pm, the room was still not ready. We checked back again around 4:30pm and it was still not ready. We were exhausted from catching an early morning flight. We then just asked us to put us in any room that was ready. The front desk was able to find a different room. Well, that room was next to the fitness/pool entrance where you can hear EVERYTHING. We could hear all the foot traffic and conversations and doors opening / closing. There was a bright light from the pool deck that shined in our room. Inside the room was nice, bed was comfy and had a lot of space. We then went to have breakfast on Wednesday and I noticed my water glass had a chip around the rim of the glass - it was pretty large and was surprised the waitress didn’t catch this before serving to me. The location was great - we could scooter to everything but the start of trip at the hotel didn’t start off the best. I also couldn’t understand the destination fee - why not just bake this into the room price? I will say Carolina from valet was hustling - running to get every car; always had a sense of urgency which was great to see.
Mobile check-in at 12:00. Got a room at around 2:45. Had not eaten yet so decided to get food while we waited for our room. Went upstairs to the restaurant, which is inadequate unless you just want a few beers. It’s a lobby bar basically with food as an afterthought. Sat there for 10 minutes and left due to no service. I never saw anybody eating, only drinking. We ended up going across the street to Starbucks. Edit: I’d like to add, that this “4 star” hotel also has no food options after about 11pm, not even room service, and there are no food options near this location as it’s downtown. Only thing open is bars. Only food option at this hotel is gas station quality food in the market. Actually, gas stations have more selection. The hotel has ONE microwave dinner option, but NO microwave. I was told that they could go heat one up in the back office for me, but only one. I have a family of 3, unacceptable given the “4 star rating”. On a positive note, the front staff, are very polite and did comp some prepackaged salami and cheese tray. This is a “3 star” hotel dressed in “4 star” clothing.
