The Westin Desaru Coast Resort

I had a wonderful stay at The Westin Desaru Coast. The staff were warm and attentive from the moment I arrived, making me feel welcome. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast had plenty of delicious options and everything was fresh. The beach was clean and peaceful, it perfect for relaxing. The facilities including the pool and gym were well-maintained. Overall, a great experience and I would happily return.

I had a relaxing stay at the Westin in Desaru. Overall, the facilities are dated and weathered however it seems like they are making improvements. During our 6 night stay, the bar in the lobby was under construction as well as parts of the outside dining areas. The rental bikes were easily accessible but certainly need to be maintained or replaced for safety reasons. The pools were wonderful and clean. Dining services were great other than a few issues we experienced. Breakfast had many options. The level of service was great but we were not impressed with housekeeping. Our room was not thoroughly clean up on arrival. In general, the staff was very kind and welcoming. The kids club was a great amenity to have! The spa services we receive were excellent! Would certainly visit again.

The beach is beautiful and peaceful, though there isn’t much else to do in the immediate area. That said, it’s a great spot to unwind, reflect, and just chill away from the hustle. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise — a sumptuous spread with a good mix of local and international options. Overall, a quiet and comfortable retreat. Will definitely be back!
