The Westin Grand Munich

Stayed: March 17–18, 2025 Room: Corner Room with Lounge Access I had a pleasant overnight stay at The Westin Grand Munich. My corner room offered sweeping views of the city and plenty of natural light, making it a relaxing space to unwind and work. And as always, the signature Westin bed did not disappoint — truly one of the best hotel beds I’ve ever experienced. The Executive Lounge provided convenient access to drinks and snacks throughout the day. While the food selection was a bit more basic compared to premium lounges in Asia, it was decent and sufficient for a comfortable short stay. A highlight of this visit was the helpfulness of the hotel staff. After I left my charger behind in the room, the team quickly located it and kindly kept it safe for my future visit — a small but thoughtful touch that left a great impression. The hotel is located just across from the Four Points, giving travelers a convenient side-by-side comparison of two Marriott brands. One small note: I had found a Japanese restaurant on TripAdvisor that was listed inside the Westin. However, after checking with the staff, I learned that it had already closed quite some time ago. Perhaps it’s time for the listing to be updated. Overall, a solid Westin experience — quiet, comfortable, and supported by genuinely helpful service. Looking forward to returning.

I've been several times at this hotel travelling as air crew and I've always had a remarkable experience. This very classy hotel is always quite frequented from simple tourists to business man, with a lot conventions and events organised in here. All the ambiences are huge, luminous and modern. Rooms are quite huge, silent and furnished with all comforts and. I have to say anyway, time to time I had some issue with the cleaning, stained moquette, fridge not working and beds are not exactly the most comfortable where I splept, my last stay I've tried to use the phone to call the room service and the concierge but nobody was answering the call for at least five minutes...imagine if it was some emergency going on. Food & Beverage offer in this hotel is impressive, from all the outlets till the room service. Breakfast buffet is gigantic. One of the best for sure I've ever had, in Europe at least, with a wide range of options: savoury, sweet and healthy ones...thanks for the sparkling wine offered 😁. The lounge bar is very cool and welcoming with very nice selection of drinks and food...maybe a few more options of draught beer offered would be nice, after all we are in Bavaria. Paulaner restaurant on the underground floor it's a very nice treat, with a very warm and welcoming Bavarian style, huge selection of beers and a very rustic, tasty and abundant portions...delicious apple strudel 😋. Just a note if the last order could be placed at 22.45 a lot of discussions and stress could be avoided with the restaurant staff...for late arriving crew is intended. Health club as well is quite nice and huge, offering an indoor pool, steam room and sauna. The gym is equipped with the machines to do most of the cardio and weights workout. The hotel offers a mini market where purchase drinks and snacks, and it hosts as well a front desk for Sixty car rental. Last but not least the hotel is located quite close to the Arabella park metro station, Englishes Garten and Effnerplatz bus stop. Even with some margins of improvement, absolutely recommended hotel.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The room was nice, with a comfortable bed. The location was away from the tourist attractions, but was very close to public transport that got you directly to where we needed to be. Staff were friendly however food service was slow.
