The Westin was an incredible resort! We loved staying there. The best part was spending our day at the pool at the loungers. Katie L was the best waitress and was such a wonderful person to talk to as well. She went above and beyond for us and was such a blessing to us. Katie even gave us great recommendations of other things to do in the area and at the resort! Highly recommend the resort and heading to splash for a day by the pool. The food and drinks were awesome as well!

The entire staff was amazing and very nice and welcoming. Hotel, pool area, and beach all very clean and well taken care of. Had to deduct one star because we paid extra for an ocean view, only to have about a 90% obstructed ocean view due to the building in front of us. A little disappointing since we paid extra and they were aware we were there for our honeymoon. Besides the room disappointment and the elevator by our room not working (so we had to walk pretty far for the working elevator or take the stairs) it was a great place to stay!

I stayed at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort to celebrate my 23rd birthday and was genuinely excited about the experience. The property itself is beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better—but unfortunately, the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced at any hotel I've stayed at, especially considering it was a special occasion. I had rented a cabana for the day and was told we’d receive drink and lunch service upon arrival. No one ever came by. We had to track down staff ourselves just to get a menu, and even then, the service continued to be inattentive. When our food finally arrived, part of my order was missing, even though I’d made a specific request (which felt especially frustrating given how much we were paying for what’s marketed as a premium cabana experience). On top of that, I had arranged for special birthday items to be delivered to my room in advance. Those never showed up, and I had to call to track them down, again, on my birthday. It was disappointing and stressful when it should have been effortless and celebratory. I contacted the hotel directly to share my concerns, especially regarding the cabana service. I never received any kind of response. Overall, while the setting is gorgeous, the service and follow-through were far below expectations for a resort of this caliber. I wouldn’t return based on this experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for an stress-free, special occasion stay. I spoke too soon in my initial review and should have waited until the end of our stay—who would have thought it could actually get worse with just one day left? I had sent clothing out for laundry service, though based on our previous experiences at this hotel, I was already hesitant to trust their services. After multiple calls, someone finally came to pick up the laundry at 9 AM. We were told it would be returned the same evening. When we got back that night, the clothes were nowhere to be found. The next morning, I called and was told the items should have been left on hangers in the closet—yet there was nothing there. I had to follow up repeatedly, speaking with different staff members who all promised a callback but never followed through. It became clear that without being extremely persistent, you won't get any real assistance. To make matters worse, since the hotel uses a third-party laundry service, they essentially washed their hands of any responsibility. I would strongly advise against using their laundry service unless you're comfortable risking your belongings. In the end, I was given a small inconvenience fee, but left with the sinking feeling that no real effort would be made to recover the lost items. It was a frustrating and disappointing end to an already poor experience.
