This Westin was picked for the location to a family get-together. It was also located to a lot of the events we were attending. The room they gave us all overlooked a roof but that was probably the checkout person's selecting it so that's the only thumbs down. Now to the remainder of the experiences. I am from Alabama so I am used to polite hellos. This place was over the top with the employee friendliness and caring for you. From housekeeping and every department you encounter was part of their culture which I know is a top down emulated to their staff. Did I mention that my elderly father was with us? Always the early riser, I found him at breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. To my heart's pleasure, he was being well taken care of by the hostess/manager Anne Marie. She was wonderful in checking on my dad and making him feel right at home. Even when I got there, she knew who I was from LISTENING to my dad's stories. Overall, after we were seated, I observed Anne Marie was this over and above with me and others while operating a full restaurant in an efficient and effortlessly enthusiasm. Kudos to her and the entire Westin staff.
Loved this hotel! Check in and check out was quick and efficient. Staff was very nice. The room was updated, clean, and quiet. Beds were so comfortable! They serve Starbucks in the cafe in the lobby and they have a bar/restaurant as well. The gym was nice and the location of the hotel couldn't be better! If you want to spend a weekend shopping at Bridge Street Towncentre, STAY HERE! The only downside was the pool(s). They are SO small. They have a great outdoor area for them with cabanas and a pool bar, but there's not enough room for the amount of guests wanting to use the pool nor are the pools actually big enough to accommodate. If they could upgrade the pools, this place would be absolutely perfect! Overall, I'm definitely planning on staying here again. Loved almost everything about it!
I was incredibly disappointed with my recent stay. Upon arrival, I was told there was no record of my reservation. After showing my confirmation, the staff informed me that my room had been moved to a different hotel because they had “filled up.” There was no prior notification, no apology, and no real explanation—just a curt direction to go elsewhere. By that point (check-in time, on the day of the stay), I had no alternative options. The room I was relocated to lacked two key features that were critical for my family: No bathtub – My 3-year-old son doesn’t use showers, so this created a real challenge. No sofa – We had planned for him to sleep on the sofa, which was not available in the new room. Needless to say, it made for a long and uncomfortable night. Based on this experience, I will not be staying at The Westin again.
