Lucky enough to have a day visit here with family, so could enjoy facilities. Pool is good, sauna excellent. Ate at club lounge and O'Kims, adequate without being exciting
This hotel is located by the beautiful Haeundae beach. The hotel is not as easily accessible by metro and bus as other hotels in Haeundae, but, it is pleasant to walk along the beach to catch a bus. The building and facilities of the hotel are fundamentally outdated, even though they have been trying to renovate for guest comfort. Very low ceiling height, noisy elevators, and small windows in the guest room, outdated by today’s standards. I can’t even give lip-service praise as it no longer meets the standards expected of the 21st century five-star hotel. The lounge’s happy hour was rather unremarkable, It seemed that the lounge was over-capacity. However, the breakfast at the lounge was good and more satisfying. All of the staff were professional and helpful, I could feel the heritage of service. The aging facilities are beyond their control.
A 5-star hotel near Haeundae beach. A nice view from your room if you choose the right room type. Nice and kind staff. But ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CHECK-IN EXPERIENCE. I contacted the hotel a couple of hours before the check-in time (3pm) to see if early check-in would be possible. They did not give a clear answer. I got to the hotel at 2.30pm, stood in the queue for 15min to check-in. But the receptionist said the hotel was full booked and they needed some time to clean my room, told me to come back at 3pm to pick up my keys. I said okay since it is the peak season in Busan, waited around the lobby - which by the way was packed with ppl waiting to check-in. Then at 3pm I stood again in the queue for another 10~15min and was told that my room is still not ready, and I should come back at 3.30pm. I refused to stand in another queue for who knows how long and then the receptionist offered to find me at the lobby to hand the keys as soon as my room was ready. I was told again that this is a peak season and so forth but all excuses which I don't and shouldn't care about. If it is a peak season they should have expected more guests and hired more housekeeping staff. They have been around for over decades. This is not the professionalism I expected. I wasted one hour in a crowded hotel lobby for no valid reason. By the way, I was offered a late check out because of my membership tier which I really did not need in the first place. I would never consider visiting this hotel unless I have exhausted all other options especially during the 'peak' season.
