It has been a while since we have stayed at La Paloma but we decided it was time to go again. We are pleased with the new updates. In lobby lower lever restaurant, floors, view and so much more. The adult only pools are such a pleasure. Something I am always looking for. We had a great time and will be back sooner than later.

First, I would like to give a HUGE ‘THANK YOU’ to Marque for making our day at the resort so enjoyable. We were glad to see Westin La Paloma finally added to the list of hotels offering day passes on resortpass.com. Below are a few pros and cons we experienced for the day: Pros: 1. Helpful and friendly staff 2. Waterslide (❤’d it) 3. Lots of seating 4. Towels and free bottled water Cons: 1. Pools need resurfacing 2. The two main pools were pretty cloudy 3. Women’s restroom was closed in the pool area so I had to make the walk up to the main resort building to use the ladies room making it inconvenient 4. Poolside food was just ok (quesadilla was small and the medium fruit cup was lacking in variety) Expected better for the caliber of resort 5. Food and beverages were pricey for the size and quality We still had a fun time at the resort even with all the cons against it, but not sure, if we will choose La Paloma as a first pick for our next daycation at a resort again unless they improve in some areas.

Mold and cats. That is what both rooms I tried smelled like. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are big and really designed well if they didn't smell. This hotel has to know and chooses to do nothing about it. Two separate buildings and both smelled like cats and mold it was so gross. And not just a slight smell, it was very strong-like this moldy cat smell had been there since the 1980's strong. My friend said she had the same problem when she stayed here and had to switch rooms 3 times to find one that didn't smell as bad. Kind of ridiculous for such a nice resort to continue in this condition. The lobby and grounds are gorgeous but I guess it doesn't matter if you can't stand the stench of the rooms. Also the A/C barely worked and the rooms felt hot. This could easily be a great place but ownership and management need to do something about the smell. There is obviously a significant mold issue which can't be good for your health.
