The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa Cancun

My family (husband, son, and I) stayed at the Westin for a week and had a generally pleasant experience. Check-in involved filling out a surprisingly long form outlining resort rules, and we were given key cards along with towel cards. Something to keep in mind, as you’ll need to exchange them to get towels and return them to get the cards back. The pools were a highlight large, clean, and never felt overly crowded. However, unfortunately, many guests reserved chairs early in the morning by placing towels on them, often for long periods. If you don’t grab a chair before 11 a.m., chances are you won’t get one for the rest of the day. Luckily, the beach is also an option and just as enjoyable. Our room had great air conditioning and was a comfortable size for the three of us. The main downside was the limited food selection only three restaurants on site, which started to feel repetitive over a week. Overall, it was a clean, relaxing stay with beautiful pools and beach access, though there’s definitely room for improvement with the dining & chair-reservation policies.

I came here as a promotion and was not disappointed. The rooms were very clean, and I love having a kitchenette. The shower and hot tub have constant hot water and great pressure. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and attentive. I did eat at one of the restaurants on a themed taco Tuesday, and they had live entertainment, which were amazing. The food was good but you can go within walking distance for any variety of other cheaper and tastier dishes. Overall, the location is great, the property and amenities are wonderful, and I will definitely return.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Westin , and while there were several aspects of the experience that were commendable, there were also some areas that left room for improvement. They are not only very nice but also remarkably spacious, providing ample room to unwind and enjoy your time. The modern amenities and tasteful decor contribute to a comfortable environment that is ideal for both relaxation and leisure. However, it is important to note that the pricing felt somewhat disproportionate to the overall experience. While I understand that premium pricing often accompanies high-quality offerings, the level of service we received did not meet our expectations. We found the service to be lacking in attentiveness and responsiveness, which was disappointing considering the additional fees for various amenities and services. In summary, Westin boasts stunning views and spacious, well-appointed rooms that make for a pleasant getaway. However, the service could use significant improvement, especially in relation to the premium price point. If you're seeking a relaxing retreat with beautiful scenery, it may still be worth considering, but be prepared for potential shortcomings in service.
