The Westin London City

Had a great stay for my first time in London. This location is close to a major tube station. The hotel is gorgeous and the service was top notch! Everyone I spoke to in staff was friendly and attentive. I’m a frequent travel who has stayed at plenty of Marriott properties and this is among the top. Everything was very clean and sleek. The breakfast was delicious and is a must try. Special thanks to Toby for his assistance adjusting my room reservation after a decision to extend my stay after an issue with my flight.

Good, new hotel. Close to St. Paul‘s Cathedral. Directly on the Thames. Walking distance to Tower of London, Tate, Millennium Bridge and Borough Market. Nice and warm reception staff. St Paul Duplex Suite with upstairs bedroom and master bath. Downstairs with lounge area, fridge, coffee maker and small bath. However with no view of St Paul!! Despite the name (well you need to squeeze to the very left of the only window, than there is a partial view - what a let down). 😳. No USB C outlets. Lounge is nice and fresh with normal and simple lounge food (stew with rice, tomato pasta). Breakfast at buffet restaurant (which you could upgrade to as a benefit for elite members) is rather disappointing. Buffet- Refill take forever, orders misplaced, selection very limited especially on bred, cheese and fish. Nice gesture at welcome for kids. Nice indoor pool.

I had a pleasant experience overall. The location is convenient close to several popular attractions, though a bit of a distance from others. If you enjoy walking, there’s a lovely riverside path nearby that’s perfect for a scenic stroll, although the rooms themselves don’t offer a river view. The hotel is clean, neat, and well-maintained, with a sleek, modern design. The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in and general service smooth and welcoming. Rooms were quiet and comfortable, with no city noise great for a good night’s rest. The gym was a nice bonus, equipped well enough for basic workouts. The club lounge was just okay nothing particularly standout about it, but a decent spot to relax for a bit. Easy to find using Google Maps, which made getting there stress free. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, modern stay in London with friendly service and quiet rooms.
