Spent 5 days here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our first room wasn't great, view-wise, so we requested a move to a higher floor. Nothing was available that day, but we did get moved 2 days later. Totally acceptable. All the staff were extremely friendly. Dolce took great care of us and got restaurant reservations set for us for our stay. The highlight - without a doubt - was the service we received at the Owner's Pool from Raul, Daniel & Angel. Raul is, hands-down, one of the friendliest, personable, and most welcoming guys we've had at a resort! He was there to greet us in the mornings and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. Daniel and Angel were our waiters. Daniel was super-funny and very friendly. Angel was the calm, peaceful guy. He was quiet, and not very confident in his English, but was able to hold a great conversation.
My husband and I stayed at The Westin Los Cabos for our honeymoon and while the resort itself is absolutely beautiful—with stunning views, a spacious and well-designed room, and great amenities—the overall experience fell short in a few important ways. First, the customer service was inconsistent. While some staff members were kind and helpful, at times we felt dismissed or overlooked, especially when it came to addressing concerns. Most disappointingly, we encountered two large roaches in our room on two separate nights. When we alerted management, the response was underwhelming—just a surprised “Oh no, really?” with no real apology or follow-up. Maintenance came to remove the bug but didn’t even spray or inspect the room. Given that this happened during our honeymoon, it was especially disheartening. The food on-site was also overpriced and, unfortunately, not the best quality. For the cost, we expected more flavorful and thoughtfully prepared meals. All in all, we enjoyed the beauty of the resort and made the most of our time, but the lack of attention to customer care and food quality brought our experience down. We’re giving it a 3.7 out of 5 and hope to see improvements in service and guest experience going forward.
I stayed here for three nights and was immediately impressed by the unique and grand architecture of the building. My suite was spacious, featuring two bedrooms, two balconies, a kitchen, and a living room. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower. There were a few downsides. While the towels were clean, they appeared old and off white, which gave a less than fresh feel. I also encountered roaches on the ground floor, and it took some time for staff to address it. Food and beverage were the biggest disappointment. Prices were high. Two lattes and a candy bar cost $22. Cocktails at the restaurant were basic and didn’t justify the price. With a fully equipped kitchen in the room, I recommend taking an Uber to a grocery store to save money. If the resort lowered its food prices, guests would likely spend more on site. The location is between San Jose and Cabo, so be prepared to take a cab frequently. The pool was a highlight. It’s heated with plenty of lounge chairs, though many guests reserve spots early and don’t return until much later. The beach is beautiful, but the waves are too strong for swimming—just enough to dip your toes. Service overall was excellent, especially the bellmen and staff. Overall: A beautiful property with great service and amenities, but food pricing and quality need serious improvement to match the rest of the experience.
