The Westin Nanjing Xuanwu Lake

Fairly standard for a Westin. Great location near the lake and attached to a modern mall. Very limited English spoken at the front desk. For a westerner breakfast buffet was adequate. Avoid the dinner. Here after the trump tariffs were imposed and had the impression business was seriously down

Located in the older city just across the street from the lake. Not so goods: old rooms that are small; old and tired building; inconvenient parking for back entrance which is the main access to the hotel - very weird; dated everything. We requested an upgraded room and got a smaller one but the slippers had a gold band. So cheapy. There is a horrible smell outside the lobby and smoke smell all over so if you are sensitive to 2nd hand smoke… stay away from this hotel. There are better choices. Goods: just an ok location to the lake and subway with a small mall in the same building. Not much to say really about this tired accommodations. Not recommended.
