The Westin Qingdao West Coast

The hotel is maintained well. I visited this hotel 4 year back in Mar2019 then visiting again in Dec2023. They have maintained the hotel so well that it still looks very new. Rooms, dinner, breakfast, Customer service everything is good. Only disadvantage is that it is located far from Qingdow city center

I was in this hotel because of a trade fair in Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition. The hotel ist brandnew and looks spectacular from outside and from the lobby, but rooms are average and there are several issues that are not acceptable for a hotel of this high level: 1. The staff speaks almost no English (even the concierge could not help me!), 2. The staff is not professional at all, they don't know the basics of hotel and restaurant business, 3. Restaurant is good, but it's not nice if you tell your guests at the front desk of the buffet restaurant that you need to pay immediately, before you go to the buffet. Furthermore, lunch buffet is more expensive than dinner buffet which makes no sense at all. Please give your staff more seminars regarding professional behaviour and English skills.
