Amazing hotel, extremely well situated. Loved the pool and the pool bar, restaurant/bar river side. All the staff made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and to help us discover the best spots in San Antonio. Small issue with our TV not working, they upgraded us to a huge suite. Will definitely go back.
Absolutely gorgeous room and views! Service was amazing. The lobby staff gave us a late checkout for free and complimentary water when we came back from our bar crawl! All around great experience! The only thing I was bummed about was the parking. They only had valet which was $80. However there is a parking garage right across the street for $40 overnight which was nice.
I would avoid the hotel if possible. First let me say I have always loved the Westin brand and experience. Unfortunately this property has structural, process and management issues. On the the plus side the location is great, the river walk side rooms have great views and balconies. The public areas and rooms are deserving of the Westin brand. However during our stay the room suffered from for door warpage that didn't allow the door to open more than half making it very difficult to use the bathroom. The shower hardware was corroded and in our repair. The vallet service was a mess, I waited over 45 minutes for a car retrieval before I gave up and called an Uber. I was not the only one having this issue. At one point 16 cars were blocking two lanes trying to get into the drop off area. The pool area is very small with limited seating unable to support the volume of guests. During my visit to the pool there were no seats and a half dozen police officers dealing with a drunken guest alternation. All of these things can happen but management was uncaring and unresponsive. There are better choices for you dollar on the Riverwalk
