The Westwood Hotel

My partner and I stayed here for a night. We had come from Dublin and Louth! From the time we arrived we loved the spot. The staff are so happy and friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for us we had a situation with missing wallets bags phones after a night out. When I spoke to the staff they were just so so so amazing. I have never ever experienced such kindness and consideration from hotel staff as i have here! They helped us cancel cards and track phones and they were so accommodating towards us until we finally got our belongings back! Thank you so much in particular to the manager!!! I highly recommend this spot! Kindness goes a long long way!!!!

The hotel was clean and charming, with very friendly staff, they bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed. I like that the decor is historical, but it could use some renovation. The carpets are a little worn and stained. Our mattress had a broken spring sticking out of it.

The place looks nice, and I was impressed upon walking in until I made it to the front desk. Service was poor and not welcoming. He seemed annoyed we were there. In the room, the air conditioner woudn’t even turn on. When we called for service, he acted very bothered and only provided us with a small personal fan. The shower only has one temperature.... very hot. Other than all that, the room was clean and everything else seemed to work properly. I know I’m from the states and we are known for pretty great customer service, but this was a joke. I’ve stayed at more comfortable 2 star hotels. We were rather late arriving to the hotel, but I arrive late to almost all hotels I stay at, and I’ve never experienced such bad service.
